Its probably the best way to learn a language without a human tutor or a live-in companion.

It will do words and phrases via a patient female voice and also offers alternate translations (—for those languages that have this function).

Unfortunately, outside of a screen grab, it does not enable you to copy and paste translations, and the application box does not resize to show all information without scrolling. However, the app resides in the menu bar, allowing instant access to the language(s) of your choice and doesnt cost you a centavo.
